ALLAGASH LAKE
If peace and
tranquility are what you're looking for in a canoe trip in Maine, then a trip to Allagash Lake is what you need. A treasure in itself, Allagash Lake is the
jewel of the Allagash Wilderness Waterway as it offers unforgettable solitude.
Allagash Lake is closed to airplanes, motors, and mechanized equipment of any
kind. Only canoes are permitted here. Allagash Lake is nestled
between Allagash and Poland mountains, lined with moss covered rocks, marshy
inlets, and everywhere deep wild forest.
A day hike to
the fire tower on Allagash Mountain, which offers outstanding views of the area,
and a trip to the interesting & unique Ice Caves are planned.
Depending on your
schedule, our Allagash Lake canoe trips can be booked as a 3 or 4 night trip. Each night
will be spent in a tent at a remote campsite lakeside. There will be
plenty of time for swimming, fishing, reading, relaxing & exploring.
